Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths Mark One Year with Mega Empowerment, Distributes Mowers to Edo, Delta Central Communities
WARRI — Marking its one-year milestone in office, the apex youth body of Warri Kingdom, Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths (UIY), has extended a major environmental boost to grassroots areas, distributing modern clearing equipment to Itsekiri communities across the Delta Central and Edo State zone.
The anniversary intervention, spearheaded by the President of the youth body, Comr. Joseph Okotie, featured the distribution of 10 high-capacity brush mowers (Rich Plus 520 Extra) alongside a range of local sanitation tools designed to aid community maintenance and environmental clearing.
Beneficiaries of the empowerment rollout span multiple communities across two states. In Edo State, recipient communities include Ajoki, Ajatiton, Kolokolo, and Ologbo.
Meanwhile, sister communities in Ethiope West area of Delta State Namely Efurokpe, Oyeaja, Ibrifo, Ekwuobodo, Ajatiton, Ifole, Ugbekoko (Sapele), and Obontie, also received the equipment.
Community leaders and representatives who turned out to receive the materials expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of the UIY.
They pledged to deploy the mowers and tools judiciously for routine environmental sanitation, hygiene, and overall upkeep of their respective domains.
The initiative underscores the youth leadership’s focus on grassroots development and community welfare as it enters its second year steering the affairs of the royal-backed umbrella organization.
