NSCDC Discovers Large Dug-In Reservoir of Stolen Crude Oil in Rivers State
Security operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have discovered a large dug-in reservoir filled with massive quantities of stolen crude oil in Umuedeokwara community, Etche LGA, Rivers State.
Investigations revealed that the crude oil was illegally siphoned through unauthorized valve connections to a major delivery pipeline passing through the area.
The illicit operation, believed to be run by oil thieves, was uncovered during a surveillance exercise aimed at curbing crude oil theft in the region.
The NSCDC operatives have since confiscated the stolen crude and dismantled the illegal connections.
