An Ijaw group known as the Ijaw Initiative has called on President Bola Tinubu to caution Nyesom Wike.
In a press release, the Chairman, Ms. Kuro Ronke Fapohunda, stated that such remarks could destabilize the Niger Delta region.
Grassroots leader, Alhaji abdulrahman Zikeyi Eneware, said Nyesom Wike is neither the first governor nor the first minister in Nigeria and should not behave abnormally. He also reminded him that the Ijaws were instrumental in the creation of Rivers State.
Another leader, Sir Pius Waritimi, warned that such remarks could lead to the destabilization of the Niger Delta and even Nigeria.
