Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths (UIY) Distribute Bags of Rice to Itsekiri Youths Across Four Zones to Celebrate Christmas
The Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths (UIY) have demonstrated compassion and community solidarity by distributing bags of rice to Itsekiri youths across Warri South, Warri South West, Warri North, and the Edo/Delta Central Zone as part of activities marking the Christmas celebration.
The rice distribution exercise was carried out to support youths and families during the Yuletide season, ease economic hardship, and promote unity among Itsekiri people across all zones. Beneficiaries from the various zones expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, noting that the gesture truly captured the spirit of Christmas and communal support.
In line with its inclusive humanitarian values, UIY also extended support to persons living with disabilities, ensuring they were fully included in the festive outreach. This act reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to equity, compassion, and care for vulnerable members of the Itsekiri society.
The outreach further extended to the family of their late leader, Odudukele, particularly his wife, alongside other vulnerable individuals within the community. This show of solidarity was widely applauded and seen as a reflection of UIY’s strong culture of brotherhood and responsibility.
The leadership of Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths reaffirmed their dedication to youth empowerment, community welfare, and unity across the Itsekiri nation, stressing that such humanitarian interventions will remain a core part of their mission.
The Christmas outreach by UIY stands as a powerful example of selfless service, reinforcing the values of love, unity, and shared responsibility during the festive season and beyond.
