Thief Electrocuted While Attempting to Steal High-Tension Cables in Calabar
A yet-to-be-identified man was electrocuted earlier today while attempting to steal high-tension electrical cables along the New Airport Road, near the Poultry Farm in Calabar South, Cross River
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, 14th July, causing a temporary power outage in the area. The man’s body was found hanging from the electric pole, drawing the attention of residents and passersby.
Officials from the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) and security agencies have since arrived at the scene.
Investigations are currently ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
