Senator Natasha’s Sexual Harassment Allegation Against Akpabio Becomes Case Study at Usmanu Danfodiyo University

Students of the Department of Sociology at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), were asked in Question 4 to analyze the sexual harassment allegation made by Senator Natasha against Senate President Godswill Akpabio
The question states: “Analyse the ‘sexual harassment’ allegation by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and suggest ways to promote robust gender-based political culture among politicians in Nigeria.”
The inclusion of real-life political controversies in academic assessments is seen by many as an effort to encourage critical thinking among students and connect sociological theories with current events in Nigerian politics.
