Prince Francis Yonwuren, Team Welcome First Lady at Olu of Warri’s Palace
Prince Francis Yonwuren today Tuesday led members of his team to the Palace of the Olu of Warri in Warri to join well meaning Itsekiri’s to welcome the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, during her visit to the oil rich kingdom.
The reception, which held within the historic palace grounds, drew prominent sons and daughters of Warri Kingdom, traditional kings, chiefs, political stakeholders and youth representatives. Yonwuren described the First Lady’s visit as a significant moment for the Itsekiri nation, noting that her presence underscored the Federal Government’s recognition of the strategic importance of the Niger Delta region.
Speaking at the event, the APC political leaders highlighted the need for sustained collaboration between the Federal Government and traditional institutions to foster development, peace and economic empowerment in Delta State. He commended the First Lady’s humanitarian initiatives and advocacy programmes, particularly those focused on women and vulnerable groups across the country.
