Okere Community Installs New Youth Leadership as Sisianmi Jalogho Takes Over, Interim Committee Exits

The Oma Ologho Youth Association of Okere Community has formally inaugurated a new executive leadership, bringing to an end the interim administration headed by Comrade Kelvin Oludewa and Comrade Eboma Tuoyo.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place on Friday, saw Sisianmi Jalogho assume office as Youth Chairman, while Tsemaye Popo emerged as Youth Secretary of the community.

The event was conducted by the Ogieboro-in-Council, under the leadership of Ogieboro E. F. Esisi, who was represented at the ceremony by Chief Kofi Kartey. By administering the oath of office to the newly inaugurated executives, the traditional council formally restored a substantive youth leadership following the expiration of the interim arrangement.

Dignitaries in attendance included notable members of the Okere Elders’ Council, among them the Council Secretary, Dr. Godwin Uku, Pa Amorighoye, and Mr. Emmanuel Abigor. The Okere Community Management Committee was also well represented, with its Chairman, Mr. Fred Olomuro, and Secretary, Hon. Barr. David Eyitemi Oki, present to lend institutional support to the new youth leadership.

In his acceptance remarks, Chairman Sisianmi Jalogho expressed gratitude to the traditional institution, the elders, and the youths for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to lead with transparency, uphold respect for constituted authority, and pursue policies that would promote unity, peace, and sustainable development within Okere Community.

The ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, as youths embarked on a peaceful procession from the residence of Ogieboro E. F. Esisi in the GRA area of Okere Community to the town hall, singing solidarity songs in what many described as a fresh beginning for youth leadership in the community.
