Journalist observes Governor Fubara’s Calm Nature in Church, says He is not Obsessed with Power.
Popular journalist, Allwell Ene, has shared his personal observation of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, during a church service in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
According to Ene, Governor Fubara walked into the service alongside top political figures including former Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo; Senator Adawari Pepple; Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja; Ambassador Orji Ngofa; and former Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie.
“I was in church this morning and I saw Gov. Fubara walk in. I took a very close look at the governor since I sat on the second row close to him,” Ene stated.
He described the governor as looking “so unworried, so nourished, very fresh, oily, putting up smiles every now and then.”
During worship, Ene noted that the governor joined the congregation in singing and dancing, especially when the popular song “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” was raised.
“He sang and danced with extreme humility, yet with a kind of dignity, candour, and carriage that befits his status,” Ene wrote.
Despite ongoing political challenges, the journalist said Fubara appeared unbothered and composed. “He seemed like someone who is not obsessed with power or position. A man who could let anything go without blinking.”
Ene praised the governor’s peaceful nature, contrasting it with how other politicians might react under pressure.
“Some people would have lost weight from worry… but Fubara looked fresh and calm,” he added. “I really admire his peaceful disposition. I wish I could emulate such calmness during tough times.”
The post has since gained attention online, with many praising Governor Fubara’s quiet strength and humility
