IYE Hails Yemi Otuedon as Outstanding Itsekiri Man of the Year 2025

The leadership of the Itsekiri Young Elites (IYE) has congratulated Comrade Yemi Otuedon on his emergence as the Outstanding Itsekiri Man of the Year 2025, an award conferred on him by Warri Voice Newspaper. This commendation was contained in a press release issued on Friday evening by the President of the group, Comrade Lily-white O. Esigbone, and the Secretary, Comrade Eboma Tuoyo Michael.

According to the statement, the prestigious award was bestowed on Otuedon in recognition of his immense and consistent contributions to the growth, development and advancement of Iwereland. IYE leadership described the honour as a timely acknowledgment of years of selfless service, advocacy and unwavering commitment to the Itsekiri cause.

Speaking on behalf of the organisation, President Lily-white Esigbone applauded Warri Voice Newspaper for what he described as a bold and well-deserved recognition. He noted that the award reflects Otuedon’s relentless efforts in the defence, protection and promotion of Iwereland, adding that his intellectual and strategic interventions have continued to strengthen Itsekiri voice within and beyond the Niger Delta.

In his remarks, the Secretary of IYE, Comrade Eboma Tuoyo Michael, stated that Comrade Otuedon has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities. He emphasized that the awardee has championed the development of Iwereland while defending Itsekiri interests intellectually, socially and through sustained advocacy. “This recognition is not only deserved, it is earned,” Eboma said.
