IGC National Inaugurates Warri South Executives, Empowers Women and Elderly in Warri while endorsing President Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori

It was a moment of excitement and grassroots solidarity in Warri as the national leadership of the Itsekiri Grassroots Coalition (IGC) officially inaugurated the Warri South Local Government executives of the movement amidst jubilation from members and supporters.

The colourful inauguration ceremony attracted party faithful, community leaders, youths, women, and elderly persons from different parts of Warri South, all gathered to witness what many described as a new phase of grassroots mobilization and empowerment for the Itsekiri nation.

Speaking during the event, the national leadership of IGC charged the newly inaugurated executives to remain committed to the ideals of unity, service, development, and protection of Itsekiri interests at the grassroots level. The leaders were urged to carry every member along and work tirelessly towards strengthening the movement across all communities in Warri South.

The highpoint of the event was the empowerment programme organized for women, physically challenged and aged women in the area. Several beneficiaries received cash gifts and support packages aimed at easing the current economic hardship and encouraging small-scale businesses among women at the grassroots.

The elderly women who benefited from the empowerment could not hide their joy as they offered prayers and words of appreciation to the leadership of the coalition for remembering them in difficult times.

Addressing the gathering, IGC leaders reaffirmed that the movement remains committed to touching lives, promoting unity among Itsekiri people, and building a stronger voice for the future of Warri Kingdom.

The inauguration also featured cultural displays, chants of solidarity, and renewed calls for political consciousness, grassroots participation, and collective support for leaders committed to the growth and protection of Itsekiri land and identity.

The event came to a conclusion with the endorsement of His Excellency President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president, Rt Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for governor Delta State and Hon. Evang Michael Diden Ejele For Senate Delta South Senatorial District come 2027.

Members present described the event as a successful outing that demonstrated the growing acceptance and expansion of the Itsekiri Grassroots Coalition across Delta State.
