Hon. Godwin Abigor Applauds Governor Oborevwori for Empowering Delta Traditional Rulers, Describes Gesture as Practical Expression of MORE Agenda

Hon. Godwin Toju Abigor, former Director of Protocol to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, has praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for presenting 65 brand new SUVs to members of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council. He described the gesture as purposeful leadership in action and a living expression of the MORE Agenda which means Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

Speaking in Warri, Abigor said the initiative goes beyond ceremony, emphasizing the government’s respect for traditional institutions as custodians of peace and partners in grassroots governance. According to him, traditional rulers remain central to conflict resolution, unity, and stability across Delta State, and empowering them strengthens the bridge between government and the people. “This is not just about vehicles,” he noted, “it is about dignity, mobility, and enabling our monarchs to serve their communities more effectively.”

He further commended the governor’s development strides in Itsekiri land and urged sustained, inclusive growth across the state. Abigor concluded that Governor Oborevwori’s calm, people centered leadership is steadily translating the MORE Agenda into real benefits for Deltans, visible in projects completed and lives being quietly improved.
