Coalition of Itsekiri Youth-Based Pressure Groups Congratulates Mr. Bayo Ojulari on His Appointment as NNPCL GCEO

The coalition of Itsekiri youth-based pressure groups extends heartfelt congratulations to Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari on his appointment as the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). We also appreciate President Bola Tinubu for this strategic decision, as well as the appointment of Ahmadu Musa Kida as the non-executive chairman.

As key stakeholders in the oil-producing regions, we assure the new GCEO of our full support in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of his duties, particularly as they pertain to resources from Itsekiri land.

The Itsekiri Nation and Warri Kingdom—recognized as the second-largest producer of crude oil in Nigeria—warmly welcome Engr. Ojulari and look forward to collaborating with him on innovative initiatives that will drive progress in the industry.

Furthermore, we acknowledge President Tinubu’s leadership in making this change. The tenure of the previous GCEO, Mele Kyari, was marked by controversy, prompting widespread calls for his removal to enhance the efficiency and growth of the nation’s oil sector. We appreciate the President for heeding these concerns and taking decisive action to propel Nigeria’s oil production to greater heights.
