Olokun Worshippers of Elolotsemiorire Island, Ogidigben Community, Ugborodo, Prays for The Olu of Warri at 2025 Olokun Festival
In the spirit of the season, Spiritual leader Okpeyo Daje, an Olokun adherent declared blessings, prosperity, and peace over Iwereland. The Olokun Worshippers of Ẹlolotsemiorire- an Island settlement of Ogidigben community in the Oil-rich Ugborodo town, and gateway into Warri Kingdom, extends warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the people of Warri Kingdom on the 2025 Olokun Festival.
This joyous celebration that symbolizes a time for cultural pride, spiritual reflection, revival, and thanksgiving for the abundant blessings of the waters and land is an annual event that dates decades ago. As the worshippers gathered in celebration, they prayed for unending blessings, prosperity, wealth, and enduring peace for every household in the great Warri Kingdom.
On behalf of the worshippers, the Spiritual leader, fondly called “Atsọ-fifẹn”, congratulated His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, on His 4th coronation anniversary- praying for continued wisdom, long life, and divine strength to lead Warri Kingdom to greater heights. They expressed gratitude for the King’s visionary leadership and pray for continued positive changes in all ramifications.
Furthermore, the worshippers lifted their voices to Eledumare, Olokun, and invoked all deities and powers of the land, offering prayers for Ogidigbẹn Community and all communities of Ugborodo town.They prayed for unity, prosperity, and development to continually dwell in their land, and for the leadership to be guided by truth, fairness, and the spirit of service to Warri Kingdom.
In addition, they wished for success and overflowing wealth for businesses operating in Warri Kingdom, especially the International Oil Companies, prioritizing the well-being of host communities and honoring the Olu of Warri, who’s the overlord of the lands and waters they operate on. While praying for the Government of Delta State and Nigeria to uphold justice and work sincerely for the well-being of all citizens, they expressed gratitude to other kingdoms and well-wishers who joined in the celebration, praying for genuine friendship, lasting peace, and mutual respect to bind them together in love and progress.
In conclusion, the worshippers reaffirmed their loyalty to the revered Throne of Warri Kingdom and prayed that the reign of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri shall continue to flow with abundant blessings, wealth, and peace—just as the sea never runs dry. They wish the people of Warri Kingdom a Happy Olokun Festival and Coronation Anniversary celebration while praying for continued growth, prosperity, and unity in the kingdom.
