Former Port Harcourt Mayor, Ichemati, Reaffirms Loyalty to Governor Fubara, Backs Peace Process

Former Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati has pledged his continued loyalty and support to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, expressing full commitment to the ongoing peace process in Rivers State.

In a public message addressed to the governor, Ichemati referred to Fubara as “my leader and father,” stating that he and his team fully stand behind the governor’s decisions and sacrifices aimed at securing genuine and lasting peace in the state.

“I write to express my unwavering commitment to the peace process as directed by you. My team and I in Port Harcourt City Local Government stand firmly behind your decisions and the sacrifices necessary to secure lasting and genuine peace in our dear state,” he wrote.

Ichemati also expressed profound gratitude to the governor for giving him the rare opportunity to serve as Mayor of Port Harcourt, describing it as a lifelong honour.

“It is an honour I will cherish for the rest of my life, and I remain deeply committed to upholding the values of unity, progress, peace, and service under your distinguished supervision,” he said.

He concluded by thanking Governor Fubara for his leadership, vision, and the trust reposed in him.
