Gunmen have killed Richard Timothy-Jaminiwa, the chief security officer of the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
He was killed alongside his 23-year-old son, Tola Silas, in his home around Igwuruta Ali. His widow, Grace told correspondent Emeka Ortuka that about 7 gunmen dressed in black attacked her husband as he drove into his home. She mentioned that her late son had recently graduated from the University of Port Harcourt.
Mrs Jaminiwa described how she was taken into a nearby bush by the gunmen after shooting her husband. She also stated that her husband received multiple threats from individuals opposing his stance against the looting of properties at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium. Police have not yet commented on the incident.
