The Trust Chairman of Jakpa Community in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State Dcn Andrew Boyo in a press release earlier today has strongly condemned and frowned at the unwholesome destruction and Vandalization of the Chevron pipeline at Dibi Field in Warri North Local Government of Delta State. He expressed his displeasure at the destructive and sinister acts by these hoodlums.

According to him, he emphasized that all these obnoxious acts of vandalizing oil pipelines have multifarious negative effects to the society at large. This act has drastically affected the environment and public safety negatively. Apart from the effect on the environment it has also undermined the socio-economic life of the communities terrible.

Thus, he advised youths to shun all forms of destructive and criminal tendencies or face the bitter wrath of the law. According to him, ” There are other peaceful and legal methods of advocating for job slots for youths of our communities in Chevron rather than vandalizing oil pipelines. This act will affect the community negatively on a long run. I am appealing and advising our youths to resist these evil tendencies or meet there Waterloo now or in the nearest future.”

Subsequently, the Community leader implored security agencies to do the needful by apprehending the perpetuators of this criminal offence. It is imperative that our security operatives act gallantly in safeguarding these oil facilities and prevent further reoccurrence of this incidence.

In conclusion, he implored community leaders to synergize with Chevron and security agencies in safeguarding these oil facilities.
