Oborevwori, a competent leader with great respect for Traditional Rulers- Anioma Monarch
The Obi of Ubulu Uno kingdom in Aniocha South local government area and 2nd Vice Chairman of Delta Traditional Rulers’ Council, His Royal Majesty, Obi Henry Afamefuna Kikachukwu said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had shown competence in ruling the state and respected royal fathers with uncommon reverence.
Obi Kikachukwu in an exclusive interview in his Palace at Ubulu Uno described Governor Oborevwori as a good listener with due regard for the feelings and rights of others.
The Anioma monarch said the governor possessed a tolerant liberal character and fair conscience which according to him were “the key qualities of a competent leader”
“What interests me most is that we have a governor that has tremendous respect for tradition. The governor I know is a governor that has respect for Royal Fathers.Governor Oborevwori comes across very respectful. He is thoughtful in decision making and exhibits fairness in dealing with the people in a complex state like Delta.
“He keeps promises. A governor who is fulfilling his pledges to Deltans. He is implementing his development plan called M.O.R.E agenda.
“We can see infrastructure development in Delta,we can see economic development, human capital development, environmental sustainability and what have you.
“If you look closely at his agenda, you will discover that in the three senatorial districts he has lived up to expectations. Some of the projects had already been awarded and ongoing.I know he will want them to deliver a good job. That’s why he is always out inspecting the projects.
” In Delta North, we appreciate his good work at Ibusa/ Ogwashi Uku section of the huge expressway stretching to Oleh in Delta South and Ughelli in Delta Central. We can see building projects at Dennis Osadebe university at the Asaba capital territory and University of Delta ,Agbor.
“He went further to initiate programmes engaging youths in productive and gainful employment. He saw the need to collaborate with security agencies. All of them designed to maintain peace and order in all parts of the state.
“There is much time to improve on his efforts, with barely two years in office. We encourage him to do more.
“I particularly appeal to the governor to ensure the rehabilitation of some important access roads in our neighborhood. These include Ubulu-Uno/Ashama, Egbudu Akah/ Ekuku Agbor roads.
“The rural access roads will help the people especially in boosting agriculture, movement and other socio – economic activities in the localities” The Obi said.
