Governor Sheriff Oborevwori today presented the staff of office to the 14th Asagba of Asaba, Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge (SAN), OON.
The ceremony took place at the Ogwa Ukwu Ahaba Hall in Asaba, where the Governor urged the Asagba to prioritize inclusiveness and foster peace during his reign. He emphasized the vital role of traditional rulers as intermediaries between grassroots communities and the government.
Expressing confidence in the Asagba’s leadership, Governor Oborevwori reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with traditional rulers to implement people-centered policies that promote the prosperity of all Deltans.
