ROI DECORATION OF HON. DR. GODWIN TORITSEJU EBOSA: A TRIBUTE TO SERVICE AND LEGACY – Ojumude

Ojumude Tosan Bishop has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Dr. Godwin Toritseju Ebosa on his decoration with the prestigious Royal Order of Iwere (ROI) by His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, on this day, 17th December, 2025.

In a viral social media post shared across his verified Facebook handle and other platforms, Ojumude a developmental change agent, prominent environmentalist and Indigenous Minority Rights Advocate based in Warri described the honour as “well-deserved.” He noted that the decoration “stands as a powerful testament to Hon. Ebosa’s outstanding record of service, unwavering commitment to the Itsekiri people, exceptional contributions to human capital development, and his enduring impact on the growth, development, and prestige of the Warri Kingdom.”

He further offered prayers that “this distinguished royal recognition would inspire even greater service to humanity, deeper dedication to leadership, and sustained commitment to the preservation and advancement of the revered heritage of the Itsekiri people.”

The Royal Order of Iwere (ROI) is reserved for carefully selected sons and daughters of the Warri Kingdom who have distinguished themselves through exceptional service across various fields of endeavour. Godwin Toritseju Ebosa exemplifies these ideals through a remarkable career that spans public service, leadership, and enterprise.

Hon. Dr. Ebosa, 2020 recipient of the Nigerian National Legacy Awards for Human Capital Development, is the Chief Executive Officer of Awaritse Nigeria Limited, a former Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, a former Chairman of DESOPADEC, and among several other notable roles. Through these positions, he has consistently championed infrastructural development to coastal communities in the Benin axis of the Warri Kingdom.
